Matcha set - Namako Unofu cup, whisk & spoon
"Namako Unofu" refers to a traditional, specific style of ceramic glazing used in Japanese pottery
Namako (なまこ / 海鼠): Named after the "sea cucumber", this is a mottled, dripping blue-and-gray or blue-and-black glaze that mimics the dark, textured skin of the marine animal. [1, 2, 3]
Unofu (うのふ / 卯の斑): A traditional white-streaked or milky glaze, named after the spotted patterns reminiscent of a field of budding Deutzia flowers (unohana) or a "snow-spotted" effect.
Crafted by Japanese artisans, this cup, whisk and spoon makes matcha a single person ceremony.
